A Big Heart by Mike Papale
When Mike called us about designing a cover for his memoir, A Big Heart, we were immediately struck by his story and his commitment for to helping others. After reading the heart-wrenching first chapter of his memoir, it was clear to us that despite being side-lined from competitive play, athletics still played a big role in his life. Our custom hand-lettering and illustration evokes his continued tie to the sports world as a coach, and the graphic EKG representation based on his own irregular heartbeat reminds us of his genetic condition and philanthropic cause.
